Introduction to exhibition

rolling ball is an experience-based exhibition, in which visitors can observe dynamic movement when a ball is passing through complicated railroad. In the moving roll ball museum, participants can roll a ball on world-renowned art pieces and structures, and make kinetic art with parents and children.

  • Location : Planned exhibition hall in Gwangju National Science Museum
  • Admission fee : Adults / Children 12,000 WON
    * Admission free for toddlers less than 24 months (must show ID)
    * 50% discount benefit for the disabled, men of national merit and visitors over the age of 65 (must show ID, duplicated discount is not available)
    * Must buy an additional ticket for permanent exhibition hall
Elements of the exhibition
  • ART : Visitors will be able to enjoy the fun of arts by appreciating the delicate scientific elements of rolling ball art pieces collected from all over the world.
  • TRY : Guests can experience the movement of the ball freely by rolling a ball on the 172 cm wide German-made wooden structure decorated with various tracks.
  • PLAY : experience making your own rolling ball, through various wooden structures
  • AUTOMATA : This is an experience-based exhibition that naturally combines the origin of robots, the automata (a mechanical doll) 's artistic (diorama) and scientific elements (mechanism)
