Operation Days and Hours

  • 9:30 A.M. ~ 5:30 P.M.
  • Holiday on January 1 and every Monday (next day of the national holiday If Monday is a national holiday)
  • Open at 1 P.M. on New Year's Day and Chuseok
  • Only the ticket office by the main entrance is open(09 : 00 ~ 16 : 30)

  • No reservation for permanent exhibition hall
    (Phone reservation for group activities in kindergartens or schools possible)
  • Charged for 1st floor Planetarium, 4D room, 2nd floor 4D simulator
  • 100% immediate ticketing for the charged facilities
  • Refund possible until 1 hour before the showing
  • No reservation for free facilities
  • By order of arrival without ticketing for 3D playing at the 1st building

Children's Hall Entrance Guide

  • Elementary students not allowed (over 8 years old)
  • Group of children in kindergarten or care center : allowed only when a guide teacher accompanies
  • Adults with babies(under 7) : Less than 2 adults allowed per 1 baby

Permanent Exhibition Interpreting Program

  • Name of the program : Permanent Exhibition interpreting program with a science interpreter
    (more than elementary school students, around 30 people per time)
  • Methods : Immediate ticketing by the order of arrival
  • Place : 2nd floor in Gwangju National Science Museum, Building 1 desk in permanent exhibition hall
